Position: Food Services Manager and Cook
Responsibilities:
The elementary food services manager and cook's responsibilities will include:
- Plan, prepare, and serve school lunches for students and staff
- Manage and supervise the school kitchen and food service
- Train and supervise kitchen staff and volunteers
- Train, recruit, and supervise food service volunteers
PCS employees are expected to fully engage in the stated mission of the school, "to educate students in the truth of God's word in every area of instruction and activity, so that their lives may be transformed by the renewing of their minds." Must be willing to sign the PCS Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Statement. A background check will be run after a preliminary offer of employment is made.
Work Week and Hours:
This is a full-time (40 hrs/wk), year-round position
Start date 8/21/2025
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or a GED equivalent
- Coursework in food service and nutrition preferred
- Food handlers certificate required
- At least 2 years’ experience managing and cooking for 250 people required (e.g., at a school, restaurant, camp, etc.)
- First Aid/CPR certificate required
Pay: $16.82/hr
