Responsibilities: 

Responsible for providing support for classroom teachers in kindergarten through grade 5. This support includes giving instruction (the actual teaching), paperwork (such as grading) and lesson planning.  Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.  Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, playgrounds, and gymnasiums, and on field trips. Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts. Work with the classroom teacher and/or the principal on behavior modification and personal development programs for individual students.

Work Week and Hours:  

37.5 hrs/wk when school is in session

Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM- 3:45 PM (with 1/2 hour lunch)

Occasional weekend/evening hours may be required

 

Contract Term:  Academic year

 

Requirements:         

Pay:  $16.95/hour
